Universidade Nova de Lisboa

General

The Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica António Xavier (ITQB) is a leading Portuguese life sciences public research institute, integrated in the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (UNL), which was recently converted into a private foundation of public law. ITQB’s mission is to carry out scientific research and postgraduate teaching in life sciences, chemistry and associated disciplines for the benefit of human health and the environment.

Role in Photoboost

ITQB will contribute to three work packages in the PhotoBoost project. The team will provide expertise in the transformation of rice plants, the physiological, molecular and biochemical analysis of transgenic lines in the greenhouse, and the detailed characterisation of transgenic rice plants in.
